Kodak Scenes – Early 20th century homesteader snapshots

This is a scan of a homemade photo album entitled “Kodak Scenes,” created using green construction paper, red ribbon (for binding) and snapshot photographs. The size of the original is 6″ x 9″. Teresa found this in a thrift store in either New Mexico or Colorado (if we recall correctly). Sadly, the booklet is not entirely intact, but, happily, what remains is intriguing. Of particular interest to me are the photos on pages 7, 9, 11, and 12. I’m guessing these were all taken somewhere in the Great Plains. If anyone has a better idea, chime in. In the meantime, enjoy! (Update: A packet of negatives found along with this album indicates the locale is South Dakota. See below.)
